Following the success of our 2024 and 2025 adventures, we’re delighted to offer another round of unforgettable sailing holidays in 2026. This particular leg is ideal for those completing their RYA Coastal Skipper course or simply looking to build longer passage experience and sea miles in varied coastal conditions. You’ll join Dream Odyssey at 4pm on Sunday 9th August 2026 at Port Hamble Marina in the Solent, where your passage planning begins for an exciting and varied coastal journey. Over the course of the week, you’ll sail east along England’s iconic south and east coastlines, before disembarking in Burnham-on-Crouch on the morning of Saturday 15th August 2026. This route offers a iconic coastal scenery and rewarding challenges: - Depart the legendary Solent, sailing past the Isle of Wight - Continue along the south coast, passing Newhaven and Brighton - Stop at Eastbourne, with the dramatic Beachy Head rising above - Sail beneath the iconic White Cliffs of Dover and possibly overnight at Dover or Ramsgate - Navigate around North Foreland before taking on the challenge of the outer Thames Estuary - Finish your journey upriver at Burnham-on-Crouch Transport: - Burnham Yacht Harbour is under 5 minutes by taxi from Burnham-on-Crouch Station. - Hamble Point Marina is a 5-minute taxi ride from Hamble Railway Station. What’s included? - Yacht, Yachtmaster Instructor, marina fees, fuel, gas - Lifejackets, jackets, salopettes, and accommodation - Breakfasts, all lunches, snacks, tea/coffee - Evening meals onboard for 4 nights - Two evening meals ashore (at your own expense—crew chooses the venues) Booking & Payment: Reserve your place now—no deposit taken until Sept/Oct 2025, when we ask you to confirm. A further £225 is due 1st January 2026, with the remaining balance payable 9 weeks before departure. Notes: Your course booking will be processed within 24 hours. Later this year, you’ll be asked to pay a non-refundable deposit to secure your place. Once received, your booking is confirmed and full joining instructions will follow. We strongly recommend taking out holiday insurance (approx. £12) to protect against the need to cancel. Terms and Conditions
Clients are strongly advised to take out holiday insurance that covers sailing. Sportscoverdirect.com and others offer this at very inexpensive prices (circa £12). Asking to delay or postpone your course is the same as cancelling your booking. Refunds to the Client of any money paid to Academy Sailing for a Booking are made in accordance with the following periods of notice given by the Client of the Cancellation:- * MORE than 8 weeks – full refund of the Programme fee paid LESS the non-refundable deposit amount shown against the service and LESS any card processing fees and bank fees. * 8 weeks or less, but MORE than 4 weeks – 50% of the Programme fee, LESS any card processing and bank fees. Where the Client has not made full payment, the balance between the deposit and 50% of the Programme fee must be paid to Academy Sailing before the cancellation becomes valid. * 4 weeks and less – no refund of the Programme fee. Where the Client has not made full payment, the balance between the deposit and the full programme fee remain owed by the Client to Academy Sailing.
