The English south coast 'Riviera' offers some of the most stunning sailing in the UK. At just £1,085, and with only 24 places available across the scheduled 6 holiday weeks in 2026, this is a bespoke and limited holiday opportunity not to be missed.

It’s perfect for complete beginners, those looking to develop their crewing or skippering skills, or anyone simply wanting to relax and enjoy a memorable sailing adventure.

And on Legs 2, 3, 4, and 5, you’ll have the opportunity to gain your RYA Competent Crew qualification at no extra cost.

As part of this unforgettable holiday, you’ll sail Dream Odyssey under the expert guidance of one of our award-winning RYA Yachtmaster Instructors. You’ll cruise to stunning destinations and experience the beauty of the English coast as it’s meant to be seen—from the sea.

These holidays are a fun and rewarding way to build miles, boost confidence, and gain real hands-on experience. You’ll be fully involved in daily passage-making—plotting routes, navigating, and taking the helm—all while learning valuable seamanship skills as part of your holiday experience.

New crew join the boat at 6pm on Sunday evening (4pm for RYA Coastal Skipper legs), and disembark the following Saturday at 10am, having arrived at the final destination port on Friday afternoon.

All expected start and finish ports are listed below and offer excellent rail connections, making them easy and convenient to reach.

Included in the price are all breakfasts, lunches, snacks, tea and coffee, as well as four evening meals—Sunday plus three other nights. On the remaining two evenings, the crew enjoys dining ashore together (meals ashore are at your own expense).

With so many fantastic overnight stops, the crew decides where and when to eat out, making each evening a relaxed and sociable part of the holiday experience.

Sailing yacht Dream Odyssey at Weymouth 2024

Leg 1 - Burnham-on-Crouch to Lymington - White Cliffs, Estuaries & 170 Sea Miles

Leg 1; Sunday 7th June (4pm) to Saturday 13th June 2026 - ✅ Spaces Available

White Cliffs of Dover

This leg is perfect for those undertaking the RYA Coastal Skipper course, or for experienced sailors looking to stretch themselves and advance their skills.

The journey begins in the charming east coast sailing town of Burnham-on-Crouch, known for its traditional maritime feel. From there, you’ll sail south and west toward the Solent, taking in spectacular coastal scenery and iconic navigation challenges.

You’ll experience the thrill of navigating the outer reaches of the River Thames, before rounding North Foreland and making an overnight stop at either Ramsgate or Dover. As we continue west, you’ll sail past the majestic white cliffs of Dover and Beachy Head, with a stop in Eastbourne, before heading onward through the busy waters off Brighton and Newhaven, en route to the famous Solent.

The Solent offers a world-class sailing playground, set against the stunning backdrop of the Isle of Wight. During this leg, we’ll enjoy an overnight stay in the famous sailing town of Cowes, known for its vibrant maritime atmosphere. The journey concludes at the well-equipped Berthon Marina in Lymington, Hampshire.

Transport: Burnham Yacht Harbour is just a few minutes from Burnham-on-Crouch Railway Station, with direct links to London. The marina in Lymington is also only a 5 minute walk or 2 minute taxi ride from Lymington Town Railway Station.

The Isle of Wight Needles in the Solent

Leg 2 - Lymington to Dartmouth - Journey Through the Jurassic Coast

Leg 2; Sunday 14th June (6pm) to Saturday 20th June 2026 - ❌ Full

Studland Bay, Dorset

This leg begins in Lymington, nestled in the heart of the Solent, one of the most iconic sailing regions in the world.

From here, we head west along Dorset’s spectacular Jurassic coastline, rich in natural beauty and sailing heritage. Highlights include a potential stop at Lulworth Cove, where you’ll have the chance to go ashore by RHIB for a well-earned ice cream.

Next, we sail into the historic harbour town of Weymouth, known for its welcoming atmosphere, great pubs, and some of the best fish and chips on the south coast.

We then make the rewarding passage across Lyme Bay, passing by Torquay and Brixham, before reaching our final destination—Dartmouth, a stunning riverside town in South Devon, steeped in maritime history.

Fingers crossed for Dolphins joining us. Great fish and chips and some very nice pubs to be enjoyed.

Transport: The start point at Lymington is just a short walk from Lymington Town Railway Station, with excellent rail links. The end destination of Dartmouth in an easy direct bus ride (number 92) to Totnes Railway Station for your journey home.

Legs 3 & 4 - Dartmouth Devon Special - Exploring Devon and Cornwall’s Finest!

Leg 3; Sunday 21st June (6pm) to Saturday 27th June 2026 - ✅ Spaces Available

Leg 4; Sunday 26th July (6pm) to Saturday 1st August 2026 - ✅ Spaces Available

This circular leg begins and ends in the beautiful riverside town of Dartmouth, Devon, and takes in some of the most scenic and characterful sailing destinations in the South West.

We’ll explore a variety of picturesque coastal stops, with likely visits including the ever-popular Salcombe, the peaceful and unspoilt River Yealm, and the charming harbour town of Fowey. Each offers its own unique blend of natural beauty, friendly locals, and waterside charm—before returning to Dartmouth for your final night aboard.

Expect a laid-back week of great sailing, varied anchorages, and plenty of opportunities to go ashore and enjoy local pubs, cafés, and coastal walks.

Transport: Both the start and finish location in Dartmouth are easy to access via public transport. Simply take the number 92 bus from Totnes Railway Station (approx. £4), which drops you just a short walk from our berth.

Leg 5 - Dartmouth to Hamble (Solent) - Journey Through the Jurassic Coast

Leg 5; Sunday 2nd August (6pm) to 8th August 2026 - ✅ Spaces Available

This leg begins in the picturesque town of Dartmouth, Devon, and takes you eastward along the stunning Devon, Dorset, and Hampshire coastline, finishing in the vibrant sailing hub of Port Hamble Marina.

Following a similar route to Leg 2 (in reverse), we’ll enjoy a series of scenic stops and charming harbours—each offering its own character and beauty. Expect a rich mix of open-sea sailing, coastal navigation, and varied anchorages, making this leg an exceptional opportunity to experience the full breadth of England’s South Coast from the water.

Weymouth Bay

Whether you're building miles, refreshing skills, or just soaking up the atmosphere, this is a rewarding and unforgettable sailing week.

Transport: Dartmouth is easily reached via the number 92 bus from Totnes Railway Station (approx. £4). The end destination, Port Hamble Marina, is just a 4-minute taxi ride to Hamble Railway Station, with excellent onward connections.

Weymouth Old Harbour, Dorset

Leg 6 - Hamble to Burnham-on-Crouch - Stunning White Cliffs, Estuaries & 170 Sea Miles

 

Leg 6; Sunday 9th August (4pm) to 15th August 2026 - ✅ Spaces Available

This final leg is designed for those taking on the RYA Coastal Skipper course, or for experienced sailors who want to push themselves with a more challenging and rewarding passage.

 

With over 170 nautical miles of varied coastline, this leg is a fantastic opportunity to build confidence, capability, and sea miles.

You’ll join Dream Odyssey at the marina in Hamble in the Solent at 4pm on Sunday 9th June 2026, where you’ll begin planning your passage and enjoy a relaxed evening meal with the crew. We set sail on Monday morning, with a route that promises both scenic beauty and navigational complexity.​​​​​​​

White Cliffs of Dover

Likely overnight stops include:

 

  • Brighton

  • Eastbourne (sailing beneath the dramatic Beachy Head)

  • Dover, with views of the iconic White Cliffs and Seven Sisters

  • Ramsgate, before tackling the shallow sands and shifting routes of the outer Thames Estuary

Transport: The start point in Hamble is just a 5-minute taxi ride from Hamble Railway Station, offering convenient access via the national rail network. The end destination, Burnham Yacht Harbour, is also less than 5 minutes by taxi from Burnham-on-Crouch Railway Station. Both stations provide excellent connections back to London and other major routes.

Start & Finish Locations

We fully expect to reach the start and finish locations as described—and did so successfully throughout 2024 and 2025. However, as with all sailing adventures, weather conditions may require a change to the planned itinerary.

If any variation is needed, your skipper will make that decision in real time, always prioritising safety and comfort. Wherever we stop, you can be assured there will be good transport links to get you home.

We kindly ask that you do not book train tickets until we confirm the final start and finish locations in the days leading up to your holiday.
