Bookings are held for 24 hours once payment details are sent. If the deposit isn’t received in that time, your provisional booking will be released. The balance is due nine weeks before your course starts. Stage 1 – RYA Competent Crew Learn the foundations of cruising yacht sailing and become a confident, capable crew member. The RYA Competent Crew course is ideal for beginners and covers safety, seamanship, helmsmanship, and all aspects of life aboard a modern cruising yacht. You’ll finish with the skills and confidence to take an active part in sailing and running the boat. Stage 2 – RYA Day Skipper Ready to take charge? The RYA Day Skipper course builds on your experience, developing your navigation, pilotage, and boat-handling skills. You’ll skipper short passages under the guidance of your instructor and gain the confidence to take command of a cruising yacht in familiar waters by day.
