[You’ll be asked to select either Competent Crew or Day Skipper AFTER clicking the BOOK button.] EARLY BOOKING FOR 2027 We’ll be running fewer courses during 2027 and would not normally make next year’s dates available this early. However, we’re giving customers the opportunity to secure a place now with a £25 pre-booking payment. We will not be asking for, or accepting, the usual £275 deposit until November 2026. Your £25 payment will be deducted from that deposit, leaving £250 to pay in November. The remaining course balance is due ten weeks before your course or sailing holiday begins. Stage 1 – RYA Competent Crew Learn the foundations of cruising yacht sailing and become a confident, capable crew member. The RYA Competent Crew course is ideal for beginners and covers safety, seamanship, helmsmanship, and all aspects of life aboard a modern cruising yacht. You’ll finish with the skills and confidence to take an active part in sailing and running the boat. Stage 2 – RYA Day Skipper Ready to take charge? The RYA Day Skipper course builds on your experience, developing your navigation, pilotage, and boat-handling skills. You’ll skipper short passages under the guidance of your instructor and gain the confidence to take command of a cruising yacht in familiar waters by day.
