These dates will go ahead subject to sufficient number of people booking. £175 deposit collected after you book. Balance 8 weeks before. The Academy Sailing Skipper Prep/Refresher & Crew Training Course is perfect for skippers and crew who are booked on a flotilla holiday but may not have been sailing in a little while. Equally useful for anyone wanting to brush up on their skills or for those about to undertake their RYA Day Skipper course. This course can be booked by individuals or groups. Those booking on to brush up on crew skills (as opposed to skippers) need not have previously attended a Competent Crew course and where undertaking two days will attain their RYA Start Yachting qualification. We look forward to welcoming you aboard! Notes: Your course booking is processed within 24 hours after payment of the non-refundable deposit, when you will be sent full course joining instructions. The balance is due 8 weeks before the start of the course. We advise all customers to take-out inexpensive holiday insurance (cost around £10) to protect against you needing to cancel your sailing holiday / course.
Terms and Conditions
Clients are strongly advised to take out holiday insurance that covers sailing. Sportscoverdirect.com and others offer this at very inexpensive prices (circa £12). Asking to delay or postpone your course is the same as cancelling your booking. Refunds to the Client of any money paid to Academy Sailing for a Booking are made in accordance with the following periods of notice given by the Client of the Cancellation:- * MORE than 8 weeks – full refund of the Programme fee paid LESS the non-refundable deposit amount shown against the service and LESS any card processing fees and bank fees. * 8 weeks or less, but MORE than 4 weeks – 50% of the Programme fee, LESS any card processing and bank fees. Where the Client has not made full payment, the balance between the deposit and 50% of the Programme fee must be paid to Academy Sailing before the cancellation becomes valid. * 4 weeks and less – no refund of the Programme fee. Where the Client has not made full payment, the balance between the deposit and the full programme fee remain owed by the Client to Academy Sailing.
